Text Box Formatting not preserved when converting a Word doc to pdf or png

The attached Word document contains a text box with a picture vertically centered inside it. When the document is saved to PDF or PNG (I have not tried other conversions) using Document.Save, the picture ends up being top aligned within the text box.

Tested with Aspose.Words 9.3.0.0.

Hi

Thank you for reporting this problem to us. I managed to reproduce the problem onmy side. Your request has been linked to the appropriate issue. You will be notified as soon as it is resolved.
The problem occurs because vertical alignment of text inside textbox is not supported upon rendering yet.
Best regards,

Hi Alexey,

Thanks for your reply. Is there a timeframe (even if tentative) for when this feature might be implemented? Also, is there a workaround we could use in the meantime? Vertical centering of objects within a text box provides a degree of flexibility with respect to the size of image inserted. Without centering, images get top aligned, and the resulting asymmetry is a problem.

Hi

Thanks for your inquiry. IT is difficult to provide you any estimate regarding this feature at the moment. We will let you know once this feature is implemented. As a workaround, you can try using table instead of textboxes to build layout of document’s content.
Best regards.

Hello Edin,
We are happy to tell you that a very cool and important feature (filed as 7180) is included in the new version of Aspose.Words. Text wrapping around images and shapes when rendering Microsoft Word documents to PDF, XPS and printing is now supported. You can download the latest version from here.

The issues you have found earlier (filed as WORDSNET-3809) have been fixed in this .NET update and this Java update.
