Text changes color or disappears

Hi,

When rendering a Word doc, the color of the text is Red, but when output is pdf, the color of the text is black, as it should be - Screen shot - SS1.png

Also, the text “system will produce wrong results, causing a failure.[7] Not all defects will necessarily result in failures. For example, defects in dead code will never result in failures. A defect can turn into a failure when the environment is changed. Examples of these changes in environment include the software being run on a” is missing in compiled report in edit mode but present in docx and pdf - Screen shot - SS2.png

For both behavior there is a test case (case.zip) which needs to be investigated.
It seems that if the text contains a list and a styled text which needs to continue on the next page, two things happen:
  • on the next page the style is not applied for the text
  • the text before the list has the style

We have tested the scenario using latest version of Aspose.Words for JasperReports 17.2.0 with shared jrxml and have not found this issue at our end.

Could you please share the screenshot of problematic section in output.docx, jrxml and code example here for testing? We will investigate the issue on our side and provide you more information.

Please accept my apology: the issue with missing text and screenshot SS2.png was erroneously included in this ticket.

In stead it should have been the following:

Also, Docx text is not coloured in red but in pdf and compiled report in Edit mode, it is coloured red.Screen shot - SS3.png
Hi Dennis,

Thanks for sharing the detail. The text color in output Docx is incorrect for first and last paragraphs. We logged this detail in our issue tracking system for issue WORDSJSP-212.

If you are facing different issue, please share its detail. We will investigate the issue on our side and provide you more information.

Please share update on latest status?

Hi Dennis,

Thanks for your inquiry. The issue WORDSJSP-212 has been resolved and its fix will be available in next version of Aspose.Words for JasperReports 17.3.0. Hopefully, it will be available in the second week of March 2017. We will inform you via this forum thread once it is published.

Thanks for your patience.

Could we please obtain an interim version of Aspose.Words for JasperReports 17.3.0, allowing us to test the fix already? Finding out the fix doesn’t resolve our issues in two weeks time is really too late.

Hi Dennis,

Thanks for your inquiry. Your issue was logged with normal support level. We do not provide hotfix for an issue logged with normal support level. We suggest you please have a look at enhanced support options.

How do I request the hotfix; our obtained support contract would qualify.

Alternatively, we have received interim / beta versions for testing in the past. Can we obtain this?
When is the release final.

Urgently requesting the fixes as these are needed for our client.
