Text highlight color in XPS export

Hello
Our customer has word documents containing different textboxes each containing text with some of it highlighted with a specific color.
When the document is exported to an XPS document the text (spaces) in the textbox which is not hlighted gets rendered incorrectly.
Attached you will find pictures of both the word and the xps document.
