The AddConnectShapes_Out.vsdx file generated from the example code in Githhub is invalid

When you try to open this file with Visio, it displays a message indicating that the file is corrupt.

There are also SEVERAL examples in the example source code that have faulty code to resolve the path to the VSD or VSS Visio files. Some of them work, but most of them not. I don’t think I need to go thru them here because you should know which ones are faulty or not by just trying them out. Just download the code and try running the examples, and you will see which ones are failing and which ones are not.
