To customize the text message pops on opening a secure PDF

Is there a way to change the text that pops up once I have protected a file with a password.


When I protected a file named “Protected.pdf”, and opened the file in windows, it comes up with the message:

"‘Protected.pdf’ is protected. Please enter a Document Open Password".

Can this be customized?

Thanks for your inquiry. I am afraid it is not possible to change the PDF viewer defined messages using Aspose.Pdf API. As it is class library and does nothing with GUI/Viewer, the notification messages are not a feature / property of PDF document but the features of the Tool / Viewer that is used to display the PDF document. Aspose.Pdf can only manipulate the PDF document and not the PDF Viewer /Tools.


Moreover, in order to control PDF viewer messages, you may consider using ViewerApp of our sister company named GroupDocs. They can help you to customize the notification messages in the application.
