Hi,

Thanks for considering Aspose.

Yes, sure you may use Aspose.Cells for .NET on your machine with ease. Using Aspose.Cells component (Aspose.Cells.dll) is same as using other .NET components in your projects. Please download the latest fix: http://www.aspose.com/community/files/51/.net-components/aspose.cells-for-.net/entry207989.aspx
and install it on your machine: http://www.aspose.com/documentation/.net-components/aspose.cells-for-.net/installing-aspose-cells-for-net.html

And, to use the component in your project in vs.net, check the document: http://www.aspose.com/documentation/.net-components/aspose.cells-for-.net/referencing-aspose-cells-component-from-a-net-project.html
You may try to browse different topics in sections of the documentation, this will help you how you may use different apis for your need: http://www.aspose.com/documentation/.net-components/aspose.cells-for-.net/aspose-cells.html

You may try to check some easy video tutorials for usage of the component in simple projects for different features: http://www.aspose.com/documentation/.net-components/aspose.cells-for-.net/video-tutorials.html
(These videos will help you how you can add reference to Aspose.Cells component for your .NET projects.)

Moreover, please see the featured demos for reference:

Hi,

thank you for your reply.

I have one remaining question: what are the limitations of the demo version ? Is there a time limit, as well (if so I’ll only download it at the right time!)

Hi,

Thank you for considering Aspose.

Well, there are no limitations on the trail version as per the functionalities are concerned and you can use it to test your requirement as long as you want. However the trial version will add an evaluation sheet with every generated workbook. Please see the following documentation link for details about trial / evaluation version.

Thank You & Best Regards,

Hi,

I would like to add more, if you do not use Aspose.Cells component with (valid) license file (or do not set/use the licensing code in your project, it will be called a demo/evaluation version. The download link is same for all the users: http://www.aspose.com/community/files/51/.net-components/aspose.cells-for-.net/entry207989.aspx

Well, the evaluation version of Aspose.Cells product (product without a valid license (temporary or permanent) specified) provides partial product functionality, it is limited to open/generate 100 files in one program and an extra worksheet with evaluation watermark. Secondly it may not provide you the feasibility to use all the APIs the product can support. But there is no limitation upon evaluation, you may use the product without the valid license as long as you wish.

Moreover, when you subscribe or when you purchase the license for the product, you are eligible to use versions / bug fixes of the products that are released in the next whole year as free.

Have a good day!
