Unable to edit document in Word Online

Running Aspose.Words for .NET 18.8.0.

Sharepoint: Edit in Word Online doesn’t Work

image.png (4.9 KB)

Saving file in Word, and then re-uploading to Sharepoint allows the document to be editable - but obviously, not a valid working solution.

Not sure if this is a regression of WORDSNET-11076 or a new issue.

@dday515,

Thanks for your inquiry. Please ZIP and upload your input Word document, Aspose.Words generated output document (DOCX file) showing the undesired behavior and piece of source code causing this issue here for testing. We will then investigate the issue on our end and provide you more information.

Here is a sample application with my document. When the output.docx file is created, copy it to a Sharepoint/One drive library. Then try to open it via Word Online. You will not be able to edit.

@dday515,

It looks like Microsoft has now updated Word Online so now it can work with such Aspose.Words generated documents without any error.

Please check this new behavior of Word Online again on your end to see if documents can be edited normally?
