Hi,
the attached pptx file takes approx. 1:30 minutes (90 seconds) to converto to PDF on the latest Java 7 update for Windows, 32 bits.
It takes about 15-20 seconds on the latest Java 7 update for Windows, 64 bits.
Both conversion times are rather unacceptable for such a simple file, but on the 32 bits Java it becomes useless for all practical purposes.
Please investigate on the loooooooooong timings and fix the issue.
I’m on Aspose.Slides 15.1.0 (jdk 1.7)
Regards
MR
Hi MR,
I have worked with the presentation file shared by you and have observed the time taken for exporting to PDF. I have created an issue with ID SLIDESJAVA-34768 in our issue tracking system as performance related issue to verify if the performance can be further improved for the attached presentation. This thread has been linked with the issue so that you may be automatically notified once the issue will be resolved.
We are sorry for your inconvenience,
Hi Mudassir,
when saving the same pptx as PDF directly from MS PowerPoint, it takes less than 1 second. So I think the issue is unrelated to the pptx document but depends on the implementation in Aspose libraries. Unfortunately, I cannot help further since I’ve really no idea on what happens during the conversion from pptx to PDF.
Best regards
Mario Rossi
