Hello,
We are successfully inserting a TOA field into a word document, but we are now struggling to implement an automatic update. We don’t want to have to update the word document manually with Alt-f9. Is there a way that Aspose can update a TOA field without having to use word?
Thank you,
Randall
Hi
Thanks for your request. Range.UpdateFields method is used to update fields. Unfortunately at the moment this method updates the results of DOCPROPERTY and DOCVARIABLE fields only. That’s why you can not update TOA fields programmatically yet.
Best regards.
Thank you very much for your quick reply. For our project, we need to update the TOA fields automatically. When we realized aspose was not able to update the TOA field, we attempted a work around, using Word, to update the field. This approach, however, does not work, because of server security issues.
Updating this TOA field is a critical piece of our project, and we’re wondering if there are plans to add this functionality to your product (perhaps to the Range.UpdateFields method)? And if so, when you might have this update ready for use?
We’ve already purchased a license for aspose and, unfortunately, this update feature for the TOA field is a function that is important for our project.

Hi
Thanks for additional information. I have logged this task to our defect base as issue # 3550. We will try to fix it in one of future releases. A notification will be posted here in this thread as soon as it will be done.
Best regards.
The issues you have found earlier (filed as WORDSNET-1334) have been fixed in this .NET update and in this Java update.
