Upgrade to Latest 8.2.2 Aspose.Cell for .NET version

Hi,

What are the steps required for me to be able to upgrade to latest version 8.2.2?

I have already downloaded the software.

Thanks,

Cza

Hi,

If you are upgrading from a version > = 5.0.0.x, there is not much labor involved while upgrading to latest version of the product, the major part of the APIs are the same. Also, we have maintained public API changes for the recent versions (version by version) of Aspose.Cells for .NET, please check the documents in the section for your complete reference:
http://www.aspose.com/docs/display/cellsnet/Migrating+from+Earlier+Versions+of+Aspose.Cells

We also recommend you to kindly see the Wiki Conf. Docs here:
http://www.aspose.com/docs/display/cellsnet

And, see the API Reference pages for your reference here:
http://www.aspose.com/docs/display/cellsnet/Aspose.Cells+for+.NET+API+Reference

Let us know if we can be of any further help.

Thank you.

ok thank you.

Hi Amjad,

Please confirm that the upgrade from version 7.7.1.0 to 8.2.2 is just a matter of updating .NET project reference to use version 8.2.2 and a solution build?

How about the license, will we need a new license?

Thanks,

Cza

Hi,

Well, yes, there is not any significant changes in the APIs set when you do upgrade to latest version of the product i.e., Aspose.Cells for .NET v8.2.2, you just remove the older version reference and add reference to new version and build the solution, you might come across some minor warning messages or errors in your VS.NET (it depends upon your project though) that you can easily cope with them.

Regarding your license, it would work fine if your subscription allows this. I mean you may use any version of the product that is released before your subscription expiry date (you may just open the license file into notepad and check the expiry date for your reference, do not change the license least it would not work).

Thank you.
