Re: Support for UWP
So it’s been over a year since WORDSNET-13343 (UWP support) and over two years since Windows 10 was released. I’ve been on the forums every now and then gauging activity in making UWP support a reality. Any forum members or Aspose moderators have any idea on when this can finally happen?
We have a somewhat fragile and convoluted work-around to make Aspose.Words work with UWP. We will likely have to find another product if UWP support won’t come soon…
Thanks for your interest in Aspose. I am afraid currently we do not have any plan to support UWP in near future. As it needs a major rework of our API. A very brief analysis has shown that both Window 8 and 10 app frameworks do not support System.Drawing and our API depends upon it a lot. There may be some other blockers in terms of .NET libraries not being supported in the Universal apps as well.

The issues you have found earlier (filed as WORDSNET-13343) have been fixed in this Aspose.Words for .NET 18.12 update and this Aspose.Words for Java 18.12 update.
