Verify PDF/A and digital signature

Is there a possibility in Aspose Pdf.Kit or Aspose Pdf

to verify if the PDF File is a PDF/A and if it has a valid digital signature

thx
Michael Burger

Hi Michael,

I would like to inform you that Aspose.Pdf.Kit allows you to check and validate signatures in a PDF file. You can use VerifySignature and VerifySigned methods to check for a particular signature and verify it respectively.

I’m afraid, it doesn’t allow you to verify whether a PDF file is PDF/A compliant or not; however, a related feature request is already logged as PDFKITNET-11313 in our issue tracking system. Our team is looking into this requirement and you’ll be updated once it is supported in our future versions.

We’re sorry for the inconvenience.
Regards,

The issues you have found earlier (filed as PDFNEWNET-11313) have been fixed in this update.

Hi Michael,

Thanks for contacting support.

Please note that we have verifySignature(…) method present in PdfFileSignature class present under Aspose.Pdf.Kit for Java which provides the capability to validate the signature present in PDF file. However concerning to your requirement of validating that either PDF file is compliant with PDF/A standard or not, I am afraid this feature is currently not supported. We already have logged this requirement as PDFKITJAVA-11312 in our issue tracking system. Our development team is working over this requirement and as soon as we have made significant progress towards its implementation, we would be more than happy to update you with the status of correction.

Please be patient and spare us little time. We are sorry for your inconvenience.
