Does anyone know what the encyption type/algorithm for PDF file encryption on library version 2.9.0 is? for 128-bit encyption?
Does anyone know what the encyption type/algorithm for PDF file encryption (Java library version 2.9.0) is for 128-bit encyption?
The Java version of the library doesn't take an algorithm parameter, it only has a boolean for a 128-bit option... Which algorithm is used for that?
Also, is there (or will there be) a newer Java version that has an algorithm option (like the .NET version)?
Thanks,
-Burk

We are currently busy testing the new auto ported version of Aspose.Pdf for .NET to Java platform and it supports all the features which are currently present in Aspose.Pdf for .NET. Once this new version is released, you will be able to specify the Algorithm for PDF encryption. Please be patient and wait for the new release version. We are sorry for your inconvenience.royerbj:The Java version of the library doesn’t take an algorithm parameter, it only has a boolean for a 128-bit option… Which algorithm is used for that? Also, is there (or will there be) a newer Java version that has an algorithm option (like the .NET version)?

Hi Burk,
Thanks for your patience.
Currently we are using a complex system of RC4 (128-bits / 40-bits) and MD5 algorithms for encrypting the PDF files.
Hi Burk,
