Which is best for PDF?

I’m currently evaluating Aspose.Words and Aspose.PDF, and I need to have PDF format output from mail-merging. Version 6 of Aspose.Words has a new rendering engine, which means it can provide direct output as PDF, although as it’s only version 1.0.0 it is apparently still under development.

My question is which is the best to use for PDF output? Aspose.PDF must already have a rendering engine, so why does Aspose.Words need a new one? Can Aspose.PDF do things that Aspose.Words cannot, or is it the other way round?

Thank you for considering Aspose.

If you use Aspose.Words + Aspose.Pdf to convert Word to Pdf, the page rendering engine is in Aspose.Pdf. The latest version of Aspose.Words use it own page rendering engine to convert Word to PDF. I can't say which is best. The solution of Aspose.Words + Aspose.Pdf is more mature but you need to purchase both products. You can evaluate both solutions to see which one is good for you.
