Word Footnotes using special character as footnote ID

I already feel I may need to kick myself but I cannot see how I establish that a specific footnote has been assigned a special character.

I can how we reveal the numbering scheme but when someone puts a special character in I cannot see how to reveal that.

The docx has : -

<w:r w:rsidR=“00CA1BEA” w:rsidRPr=“00CA1BEA”>
<w:rPr>
<w:rStyle w:val=“FootnoteReference”/>
</w:rPr>
<w:footnoteReference w:customMarkFollows=“1” w:id=“1”/>
<w:sym w:font=“Symbol” w:char=“F0E5”/>
</w:r>

Is there a way to reveal this please.

Thanks

Jan

Hi Jan,

Custom marks are not supported for FootNote at the moment but an issue to support this feature has already been logged into our issue tracking system as WORDSNET-11107.

The good new is that this issue has already been fixed and will be available in the coming release (i.e. 15.6.0). You will be updated as soon as this feature is released.

Best Regards,

The issues you have found earlier (filed as WORDSNET-11107) have been fixed in this .NET update and this Java update.
