Word to PDF - Bookmark creation issue with style separator

Hello, We are encountering issues with bookmarks using Aspose.Words to save the enclosed document to PDF.

We are using parameters in Aspose to create the bookmarks from the MS Word headings.

The enclosed Word document has 2 level of headings (Headings 1 and Headings 2), however, only Headings 2 are showing up as bookmarks into the PDF output. We believe that this is because the Heading 1 has a “style separator”.

Please see enclosed:

  • The original MS Word document, “Aspose Doc Sample Header Style Separator.docx”
  • The file converted to PDF with MS Word => this file has bookmarks for Headings 1 and 2. “Aspose Doc Sample Header Style Separator (ms word conversion - create bookmark from word headings).pdf”
  • The file converted to PDF with Aspose => this file only has bookmarks for Headings 2. “Aspose Doc Sample Header Style Separator (aspose conversion - create bookmark from word headings).pdf”

Please let us know how to make the Aspose conversion to work like it works in MS Word.

Best regards,

Guillaume.
