Word viewer production release

  1. When will the production version of the word viewer be ready?
  2. Will this be available to users with licences for version 3.0?
  3. I noticed that the word viewer generates an image from the word doc, just curious how this is being implemented? The word doc is not being converted to HTML correct?

Thanks in Advanced.
Joe

Thanks for your interest.

Current plan is to have Aspose.Word.Viewer available end of 2005, but this might change forward or backward.

At the moment we plan Aspose.Word.Viewer will be a part of Aspose.Word Enterprise Edition, therefore if you have a valid subscription (all licenses we sell are one year subscriptions), you will get access to Aspose.Word.Viewer.

When viewer creates the output it tries to closely match what MS Word is doing when drawing the document on the screen or printing. HTML is not involved here.

We are happy to tell you that the new Rendering Engine has replaced the “old Viewer Beta”. The Rendering Engine can print, save as images or draw onto .NET Graphics object any document page.

Please see Aspose.Words documentation to learn more about new features.

In additional, new Rendering engine allows you to convert Word document to PDF directly (without using Aspose.Pdf).

The latest version of Aspose.Words is available for download from downloads section or from NuGet
