How do I access the Content Status and Content Type document property?
Its not included in the BuiltInDocumentProperties and it doesn’t show up in CustomDocumentProperties.
You can access the properties directly in MS Word or the document properties dialog under the details tab.

The issues you have found earlier (filed as WORDSNET-3223) have been fixed in this .NET update and this Java update.
