Workbook.Save in Tiff format causes a null reference exception because of not using SaveFormat.TIFF in .NET

Hi,

This is my code:

var wb = new Workbook(@“C:\Test\test.xlsx”);
wb.Save(@“C:\Test\output.tiff”);

This code worked before my latest update but after updating To the 8.7.1.0 version it throw an exception.
Is it possible to solve it?

Thanks.

Hi,

Thanks for your posting and using Aspose.Cells.

Yes, you are right. It throws exception but when you use SaveFormat.TIFF in Save() method, then exception is not thrown and tiff image is generated successfully.

We have tested it with the following code and it works fine. Changes are highlighted in red color.

C#

string filePath = @“F:\Shak-Data-RW\Downloads\test.xlsx”;

var wb = new Workbook(filePath);
wb.Save(filePath + “.out.tiff”, SaveFormat.TIFF);

Hi mshakeel.faiz and thanks for your help,

Doing wb.Save without passing the SaveFormat works for all the other file formats.
Why just the tiff throws an exception?
Is this a bug or a known limitation of the latest version?
Will this be solved?

Thanks.
