Worksheet.Hyperlinks.Add is escaping special characters for links to a cell reference

I am attempting to create hyperlinks which point to a cell reference in another workbook. If the worksheet name contains special characters, it appears that the characters are escaped and the link to the separate workbook will not function.

For testing purposes, I am using the following sheet name.

`~@#$%^&()-_+={}<>, .;"’|

After adding the hyperlink, the sheet name embedded in the link appears as follows which causes a reference not found error when attempting to follow the hyperlink.

`~@#$%^&()-_+=%7B%7D<>,%20.;%22’’|
