Xmp metadata getting erased

I am using PdfFileEditor to append 2 pdf files.


"pdfEditor.Append(stream1, stream2, 1, 1, newFileStream);"

the first file (represented by stream1) has a xmp metadata value added. But when I check the newFileStream, i get the pdf’s appended, but the metadata value is missing.

Is there any way to preserve the xmp metadata values ?
