Subtotal row and weighted average

Hi,

is it possible to calculate weighted average on sub total row between two columns? I am using templates with smart markers. I know how to write it in excel formula (=SUMPRODUCT(A3:A3;C3:C3)/SUM(A3:A3)) but problem is how to write it as dynamic smart marker.

Hi,

Thanks for your posting and using Aspose.Cells.

Please provide us your template file with smart markers and the expected output file which you are trying to achieve with it.

You can create both of them using Ms-Excel 2010 and post it here.

We will look into your issue and help or advise you asap.

Hi,

ok, here is simplified files for you to look in. Data.xls is datasource for template.xls with smart markers and result.xls is expected output. Template.xls cell D3 is where I want weighted value for each group.

Thank you.

Hi,

Thanks for your posting and using Aspose.Cells for .NET.

After looking into this issue, we think we should add a new Smart Marker to support your need.

The smart marker is same as &=subtotal0:Data.SubGroup&formula=SUMPRODUCT({C},{D})/SUM({C})

We will process {C},{D} as a range in processing subtotal smart marker.

Could it fit your needs? Let us know your feedback.

Hi,

that looks just what we need for, great! This kind of calculations are common to us and your proposal would help a lot. Thank you!
