Linux platform
We will most likely add support for Linux platform in Aspose.Words for C++ API during first quarter of 2020. Your thread has been linked to the appropriate issue (WORDSCPP-865) and you will be notified via this thread as soon as Linux will be supported in future. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Please elaborate your requirement a bit further and share what Linux distributions, platforms, compiler version and C++ standard library do you want Aspose.Words for C++ API to support?
- Examples of Linux distributions: Ubuntu 16.04, Ubuntu 18.04, Fedora, etc
- Examples of platforms: x64, arm, arm64, etc.
- Examples of compiler version and C++ standard library: gcc 6.4.0, clang 3.9, libstdc++ and/or libc++
It is to update you that WORDSCPP-865 has now been resolved and the latest (20.9) version of Aspose.Words for C++ API now supports Linux operating system.
Starting from the 20.9 version, we are beginning to publish the Linux version of Aspose.Words for C++ API. The minimum required version of compilers are the following:
- GCC 6.3 or higher
- Clang 3.9.1 or higher
Aspose.Words for C++ currently supports only the x86_x64 platform, but we may add other architectures to the future releases upon customer requirements.
P.S. It is the first version for Linux, so there may be artifacts and differences in behavior from both the Windows version of Aspose.Words for C++ and Aspose.Words for .NET. We continue to work on improving the product and adding features from .NET.
