Alignment Issue in Word Documents When Opened in office 365

Hello Aspose team,

We have encountered an issue with document formatting. When we open a Word document in MS Word, the alignment appears as expected. However, when we open the same document in Office 365 (web layout), we notice some alignment issues that weren’t present in the desktop version.

I have attached a screenshot highlighting the issue for reference.

Could you please help us to investigate the difference of alignment and provide guidance on how to resolve it? We would appreciate your help in ensuring that the document’s layout is consistent across both MS Word and Office 365.

Thank you for your support!

@nobilex Could you please attach the problematic document here for our reference? We will check the document and provide you more information.

Hello Aspose Team,

As requested, I’ve attached the document with the alignment issue. Please review and let us know how to resolve it.

@nobilex Thank you for additional information. Unfortunately, it is not clear why MS Word 365 behaves differently. As I can see content in your document is positioned using nested tables. Looks like MS Word 365 for some reason places the nested table differently than MS Word 2019. I do not think the problem is in Aspose.Words since, as I can see, properties of nested tables and paragraphs are the same.
I can only suggest to try avoiding using nested tables to reduce the document complexity, than might help to avoid such inconsistency in different document consuming applications.

@alexey.noskov I have removed the nested tables as suggested, but the alignment issue still persists in Office 365 (web layout). The document looks fine in MS Word (desktop).

Could you provide further suggestions to resolve this inconsistency? Your guidance would be greatly appreciated.

@nobilex Unfortunately, I do not see any other possible reasons why the paragraphs’ indents are different in Office 365. Have you tried to contact their support? Probably there is a bug in Office 365.
