"Allow PDF files to access all web sites"

Hello,
Is there anyway we can update the PDF settings for the PDF document created by Aspose Word to allow “Preferences -> Trust Manager -> Allow PDF files to access all web sites to be set”? Want to make sure that the links in the PDF document created work for all users. This may be outside the scope of Aspose as may be a setting in Adobe Acrobat Reader, but wanted to be 100% sure.

I am afraid, there is no option in Aspose.Words generated PDFs to control such settings and there is nothing in PDF specifications regarding this. It is solely a setting of the reading application (e.g. Adobe Acrobat Reader). So, we see no way to override it from PDF document. And it clearly goes beyond the scope of Aspose.Words API.

If it were possible, it would be a serious security risk to users of Adobe Reader. Regarding the security risks of external content access you may please look at the following page:

Yes, thought so too. This is just outside the scope of what Aspose “should be” able to do.

Unfortunately, we will not be able to add any options in Aspose.Words’ API for this “Allow PDF files to access all web sites” setting of Adobe Readers. Please let us know if we can be of any further assistance.
