Our customer (Canon ITS Shanghai) has
purchased a license of Aspose.BarCode for Java, and has some questions:
1.
If
we install the software on a Linux server, what is the minimal/recommended configuration
(CPU, RAM) of the server?
2.
What
is the number of concurrent recognition of barcode? Is it only able to
recognize a barcode at one time? What is the influence of having/not having
license on the barcode recognition?

Hi David,
Thank you for your inquiry.
1. Concerning Linux Server, there is no hard and fast requirements outlined for the Linux server platforms. You may use similar requirements to that desktop system i.e. minimal configuration with 2Gb RAM.
2. Aspose.BarCode does not support concurrent processing of barcodes at the moment that means only one barcode read at a time.
3. In case there is no license file set before accessing barcode generation functionality then Aspose.BarCode (application without a license applied) provides full barcode generation functionality but puts an evaluation watermark (the words Aspose) on the barcode image. For details please visit the link
Licensing.
In case there is no license file set before accessing barcode recognition functionality of Aspose.BarCode then there will be limitation in the scope of barcode symbology supported.
Hope the above information helps. Feel free to contact us in case of any query or comments.
