Hello,
read this :
We have released Aspose.Cells for Node.js via C++ since v24.7.0. It is highly recommended to use it to replace Aspose.Cells for Node.js via Java. We will gradually reduce the release frequency of Aspose.Cells for Node.js via Java and focus on Aspose.Cells for Node.js via C++ in the future.
That means, Is it better to user Node.js VIA C++ instead of Nose.js VIA JAVA?
I need your answer in order to made a good decision to but the right product.
Thanks
@edgarbenz
Can you please clarify if you are asking for a comparison of features, performance, or support between Aspose.Cells for Node.js via C++ and Aspose.Cells for Node.js via Java?
@edgarbenz,
Yes, Aspose.Cells for Node.js via C++ has been officially recommended now as the replacement for the older Node.js via Java library. We will be gradually scaling back updates for the Java-based package and concentrating future innovation on the C++ version.
Future Support & Release Cadence
We plan to reduce release frequency for the Node.js via Java version and focus entirely on the C++ version going forward. This suggests better long‑term support, feature updates, bug fixes, and compatibility in the C++ variant.
Feature Coverage
The C++ edition maintains an extremely rich features set (fully aligned with Aspose.Cells for .NET/C++) covering everything from file conversions, styling, charting, formula calculation, Smart Markers, pivot tables, rendering, security, and more, see documentation for your reference.
The Java version provides similar core capabilities, it is not fully aligned fully with Aspose.Cells for Java.
Compatibility & Performance
The C++ variant is a native, highly performant API, running directly on Node.js (and based on Aspose.Cells for C++). The Java-based option relies on the Java Bridge and may face compatibility issues.
Platform & Architecture Support
The C++ version supports multiple OS and architectures, including Windows x64, Linux (x64 & arm64), and macOS (x64 & arm64), making it versatile for servers, cloud environments, and modern hardware.
Hope, this helps a bit.
Thank you for your answer,
I am going to buy this API, thanks
