I’m trying to display my xlsx file with a Aspose.Cells.GridWeb control. The column width is displayed properly (and can be hidden), but the row heights always behave as if they are autofit(cannot be hidden).
No matter how I modify all the row heights in MS Excel, save and upload, they remain the same in the GridWeb control, while column widths change accordingly.
The code is as simple as:
GridWeb1.ImportExcelFile(filename);
GridWeb1.CustomCalculationEngine = new MyCalcEngine();
GridWeb1.CalculateFormula();
I’m running Aspose.Cells.GridWeb 24.11.0, and MS Excel 365 (version 2501).
@ZhengqiGe,
Could you please try using Aspose.Cells.GridWeb 25.3.0 along with its resource files to see if it functions correctly for your scenario/case? If you still encounter the issue, please share a standalone sample project, compress the project with the Excel file and any other resources, and send it to us. We will investigate your issue soon.
@amjad.sahi ,
I just got a fresh download of the Aspose git repo. In the The Examples_GridWeb → GridWeb.Net4 solution, I modified Data → Cells → Products.xlsx.
Then I run the solution and navigate to Cells → Access Cells example, the width changes but the height remains.
here is a screenshot:
image.png (23.5 KB)
the modified Product.xlsx file:
Products.zip (11.5 KB)
The whole GridWeb.Net4.zip file is 15 MB in size but when I upload it prompts me that I cannot upload file larger than 48MB, weird… But I think you can reproduce the issue by pulling from the git repo.
@ZhengqiGe,
Thanks for the sample file and screenshot.
After initial testing, I am able to reproduce the issue as you mentioned by using your template/updated “Products.xlsx” file. I found Aspose.Cells.GridWeb is not respecting row heights in the XLSX file.
We require thorough evaluation of the issue. We have opened the following new ticket(s) in our internal issue tracking system and will deliver their fixes according to the terms mentioned in Free Support Policies.
Issue ID(s): CELLSNET-58079
You can obtain Paid Support Services if you need support on a priority basis, along with the direct access to our Paid Support management team.
Apologies for the inconvenience caused. You can upload file up to 10MB in size in the forum thread. We will fix this soon.

@amjad.sahi ,
Thanks for the prompt response, I’m logging in with my business mail for this post. My organization do have a paid license, I have the invoice ID, order ID, and the license file. But I can’t associate my account to the license so I can’t open a ticket in the Paid Support Services portal.
I’m contacting your sales team via E-mail. In the meanwhile, can you shed some light on how to do that? Thanks in advance.
@Zhengqi_Ge,
Did you also purchase a paid support subscription with your license? If yes, you should have access to a paid support account, which allows you to log in to the Paid Support Helpdesk and submit a ticket there. Unfortunately, I can only assist with technical queries or issues regarding APIs here. However, we recommend posting your query, including your order details, in the Purchase Section. One of our sales team members will review it and provide assistance soon.
