Aspose.Cells - Performance Issue in new version of DLL- Long time taken to open TAB DELIMITED FILE

Hi,

We are using aspose.cells DLL for opening and reading a huge tab delimited file of around 4 MB. Earlier we had been using version 4.3.0.2. This version was able to open the file quickly in less than 10 seconds.

Now we switched to higher version 4.5.1.17 because earlier version was sometimes giving error when file has a DOT character in a field

With this new version, the aspose is not able to open the file at all. It takes very long time, soemetimes even 15 minutes to open it.

I even tried the latest aspose.cells ver 4.6 available on your site but same problem.

Can you please try resolving the issue. We are using standard code as given in your documentation to open the file.

The sample file is attached over here as zipped file. Kindly unzip it.

I have changed the data to “XXXX” for IP reasons.

We found the issue after an initial test as it does take long time to open the tab delimited file, we will figur it out soon.

Kindly try the attached version (4.6.0.2) as we have improved the performance to certain extent (now you will get good performance as ever before) to load huge tab delimited files.

The issues you have found earlier (filed as 6941) have been fixed in this update.
