Aspose Email File Version 2.1.0.0 not working with new Gmail

Hi ,

I am using Aspose for .NET Version 2.1.0.0 for fetching emails using IMAP. This started when Gmail changed its look to three separate tabs - Primary, Social and Promotions. After connecting to gmail, when I use the following line of code -

ImapClient.SelectFolder(“INBOX”);

and then use ImapClient.CurrentFolder.TotalMessageCount() , the message count is returned as 0 even if there are 4 messages in my inbox. The ImapClient.ListMessages() similarly doesn’t fetch any message. The IMAPClient works fine for Yahoomail.

The credentials for gmail account are -
Username- fileboundtest
pwd- fileboundtest123*

Thank you for considering Aspose.Email.

As you are using quite an old version of Aspose.Email, I would request you to please try accessing your mailbox using the latest version of Aspose.Email for .NET 3.6.0. This issue was noticed with the Aspose.Email for .NET 3.4.0 and was fixed in the follow up version then. Please try it with the latest version and let us know your feedback then.

Thank you Kashif . It worked with Version 3.5.0.0. I guess we’ll have to renew our license.

Thank you for providing the feedback. Please note that the latest version of Aspose.Email for .NET is 3.6.0. Once you renew your license subscription, you’ll be able to use this version as well which is, ofcourse, more improved than the version 3.5.0.
