Hello,
Is Aspose still dependent on GDI ? If not in what version dependency was removed.
In the past it wasn’t possible to deploy Aspose code into Azure Web app due to GDI dependency.
Thank You

Aspose.PDF still uses the GDI. We are already working over removing it and replacing with one of our component. As soon as we have additional updates in this regard, we will update you. Please give us some time.
The ticket ID which is logged for this task of removing the dependency is PDFNET-50217 and it is linked with this thread so that you will be notified once it is resolved.
Thank you @asad.ali
The reason for this question is recently we deployed aspose pdf to azure web app and we were able to export a document with image. Was Expecting to fail due to GDI dependency and do you know why it would have worked ?
It is hard to say without technical details. If you deploy web app on Azure, it can be security restrictions to call GDI+. We know about such cases. It depends upon your particular environment. On Azure, using GDI can lead to runtime exceptions but other Aspose.PDF API should work well.
