Aspose html not rendering emojis

When i use aspose html to convert to pdf. Aspose html is not rendering these icons :back::end::on::soon::top: properly.
I have added all the fonts you mentioned below and more.
I am using ubuntu jammy for my runtime.

input :
image.png (4.7 KB)

output :
image.png (4.8 KB)

I got these icons from ckeditor and will likely use more icons from ckeditor in the future.

Is this a limitation of aspose html ?

I have attached a sample project to reproduce the issue.
SlidesTest.zip (453.2 KB)

It appears you are experiencing issues with rendering emojis when converting HTML to PDF using Aspose. This problem often arises due to font support limitations, as not all fonts include emoji characters.

Cause: The primary cause of this issue is likely the font being used, which may not support emoji characters.

Solution: Here are several steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

  1. Font Selection: Use a font that supports emojis, such as “Segoe UI Emoji” or “Noto Color Emoji.” Specify the font in your HTML or CSS.

  2. Embed Fonts: Ensure that the fonts you are using are embedded in the PDF. This will help ensure that the emojis render correctly.

  3. Update Aspose: Make sure you are using the latest version of Aspose HTML, as updates often include improvements and bug fixes related to rendering.

  4. Test with Different Emojis: Experiment with various emojis to determine if the issue is consistent across all of them or specific to certain characters.

  5. Check HTML/CSS: Verify that your HTML and CSS are correctly set up to display emojis, as issues can arise from incorrect markup.

Next Steps: If you continue to experience issues after trying these steps, please provide a minimal reproducible example, and I will assist you further.

Thank you for your patience, and I look forward to helping you resolve this issue!

I have this same problem. I have a simple HTML file that I’m converting to PDF and cannot get it to render with color emojis. I’ve tried embedding fonts and event set the default font name to “Segoe UI Emoji”. Nothing works. I have a sample file I can send. If I cut and paste the icons out of the generated pdf into MSWord, it pastes in color but in the pdf they are black and white.
