Aspose.OCR support Portuguese language?

Hi,


I tried to find the correct answer to my question here in the forums, but still don’t have 100% about the answer.

Aspose.OCR supports Portuguese language? “Coração”; “açafrão”; “motivação”; …

If the answer is negative, are you planning to do this?

Hi Ricardo,

Aspose.OCR does not support Portuguese language at the moment but a request in this regard has been logged into our issue tracking system as OCR-29406 and planned for 1.3.0 release. We will keep you updated on this issue in this thread. Sorry for the inconvenience.

It is expected in April, 2012 but can be delayed a bit because our developers are working on some major improvements for 1.2.0 release.

This is to inform you that we have currently provided the support for Portuguese language in .NET version of Aspose.OCR API. As soon as we port out these enhancements to Java version of the API, you will be able to test them in your Java application. We will keep you posted with updates in this regard.

Please check the detailed article on how you can perform OCR operation on images having contents in Portuguese language. Please download the latest version of Aspose.OCR for Java 2.3.0 (download link shared by the notifier) and give it a try on your end.
