Aspose PDF Formatting

Hello,

We are using Aspose PDF component. we are supposed to convert the content of rich edit box into a PDF. we are taking the content of the rich edit box (with lots of text formatting and tables) and giving them to Aspose in HTML form.

We see the output PDF doesn’t have all formatting and the tables are not coming properly sometimes.

Is there a way to make this work?

As per my understanding, you are trying to convert an HTML containing Rich TextBox into PDF format and formatting of contents inside Rich TextBox is not being honored. If so is the case, can you please share resource HTML so that we can test the conversion in our environment.

Thanks for sharing the resource HTML.

I have tested the scenario using Aspose.Pdf for .NET 10.1.0 using the following code snippet and as per my observations, the contents inside table are not being rendered properly. In fact, the row height and column width are not being honored. For the sake of correction, I have logged it in our issue tracking system as PDFNEWNET-38280. We will investigate this issue in details and will keep you updated on the status of a correction.

Hi,

I am using Aspose.Pdf.ReportingServices.Renderer,Aspose.Pdf.ReportingServices for rendering a table in pdf output.

I am trying the APPDF report parameter (url: http://sp2010site/_vti_bin/ReportServer?http://sp2010site/AnalyticsReports/Repository/ReportName.rdl&rs:Format=APPDF&ID=334) and I am receiving an error, Adobe Reader could not open ‘ReportName.rdl.pdf’ because it is either not supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn’t correctly decoded).

When I tried to use the AWDOCX parameter (url: http://sp2010site/_vti_bin/ReportServer?http://sp2010site/AnalyticsReports/Repository/ReportName.rdl&rs:Format=AWDOCX&ID=334), the word document was created, but the table was repeated approximately 20 times and cut off the end of the report

Please note that PDF parameter creates the PDF file just fine.

Can you please share the resource .RDL so that we can test the conversion in our environment. I am afraid I am unable to retrieve the source .RDL from link stated on above post.

The issue logged under the ticket ID PDFNET-38280 has been resolved in Aspose.PDF for .NET 25.12.
