i got an aspose slides licence and i need a metafiles licences for generating pdfs from a ppt file.
How does the licence upgrade work?
I only can set one licence in the java code, so i think i have to upgrade my existing aspose slides licence, is that right?

Yes, you are very right that you may need to have the license of Aspose.Metafiles for Java as well, if the contents inside your presentation need to use Aspose.Metafiles for Java.

i will purchase the aspose metafiles, i think i will get a new aspose licence file from your company, is it possible to set two licences in the code, or have i to upgrade my existing licence to aspose slides?

You may need to set the license for individual components in your code snippet. Like you will need to set license for Aspose.Slides for Java and Aspose.Metafiles for Java separately in your project code. Hope it answers your query.
