Any presentation seemingly cant be opened with powerpoint 2016 on Windows 7. I’ve tested Powerpoint 2007, 2010 SP1, 2010 SP2 and Powerpoint 2013 SP1 on Windows 10…all work. I’ll be working through those iterations of powerpoint on Windows 7 and 8 soon but I know the presentations are corrupted for powerpoint 2016 32bit on a Windows 7 64bit machine. The error I receive is attached.
Something as simple as the following causes the error.
Presentation pres = new Presentation();
pres.Save(“untitled.pptx”, SaveFormat.Pptx);
Is there any fix or workaround for this?
Hi Scott,
We are sorry for the delayed response. I have observed the issue shared by you and request you to please share the source presentation and generated presentation file with us. PowerPoint 2016 is relatively new and we may need to this information to investigate this on our end.
Best Regards,
Attached are two generated presentations. There is no source presentation as my code is set up to generate a completely new PPT each time it is run.
One PPT is the repaired copy and one is the unrepaired copy. Once the PPT has been repaired, you will notice that there are some blank slides. These slides SHOULD contain different charts but don’t and seemingly only when using Office 2016.
Thanks for looking into this.
Hi Scott,
Thank you for sharing the information with us. As you have shared that there is no source presentation available and you are generating the presentation using Aspose.Slides. In order to investigate the issue further, I request you to please share the working sample project which will lead to correct investigation of issue on our end. Please share the information requested with us.
Best Regards,
Is there a secure way to deliver the source code so that it’s not posted on the forums?
