When I open an MPP file and modify 3 task fields (which do not have any dependency on other tasks) and save the file as MPP file format, the saving process is taking almost an hour for saving a 844K file. When I try to open the MPP file in MS Project after save, it is blank.
However, the same MPP file if saved in an XML format (final file size is 4MB), it runs within a minute and the XML can be opened in MS Project properly.
Any idea why this is happening?
