I downloaded the Aspose Total package yesterday and while trying to install get Invalid MSI file. Aspose.Cells is not valid, and it goes through the whole list with all applications being invalid. Please let me know what I am doing wrong.
Thank you.
Hello Ameginnis,
I just downloaded the Aspose.Total installer and I had no trouble at all installing the Aspose components. Since the Aspose.Total installer is rebuilt daily please try to download the latest build http://www.aspose.com/Downloads/Aspose.Total/1.4.0.5/Default.aspx , perhaps the one from yesterday got corrupted some how.
I must be doing something wrong, because it errors out on every component. I copied the zip file to my desktop, then unzipped it into an folder on the desktop. When I run setup from that folder I get the Aspose Install menu (image, listbox, and button). I select Install, and the image pops up with the bar running back and forth. It then says: This installation package could not be opened. Verify that the package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer package.
Does the zip file need to be installed in a particular folder on the computer?
Before going too much further, will I be able to put these Aspose components into an .ASPX page and a C# for Web project.
Thanks.
Dear Ameginnis,
Thank you for the reply and for the further information. I am truly sorry to hear about your install issues with Aspose.Total. I feel certain Justin will continue to work with you until this is completely resolved.
In answer to your question; yes - you will certainly be able to use our products with ASP.NET / C# applications.
As a trouble shooting step, it may be good for you to try to download an individual component (for example, Aspose.Words) and try to install it by itself. That way we can see if the problem is isolated to the zip file for Aspose.Total or for all installtions recieved from Aspose.
Thank you again for your post and rest assured we will be more than glad to help until this is totally resolved.
Yes you can place our products with a web page. For an example please see: http://www.aspose.com/Products/Aspose.Total/Demos/. As far as your installation troubles go… Can you run each MSI by it self? If not what version of the .NET framework do you have installed? What OS are you using?
