I’m using aspose word 20.3 on xamarin ios. This is the first version for xamarin without separate dlls. I can run my app on simulator but cannot run it on real device or archiving ipa file. I always get the error
/Users/tuando/Projects/testaspose/testaspose/obj/iPhone/Debug/device-builds/iphone12.5-13.3.1/mtouch-cache/arm64/Aspose.Words.dll.s(1,1): Error G25FAEEEE: invalid symbol redefinition (G25FAEEEE) (testaspose)
/Users/tuando/Projects/testaspose/testaspose/MTOUCH: Error MT5106: Could not compile the file(s) ‘/Users/tuando/Projects/testaspose/testaspose/obj/iPhone/Debug/device-builds/iphone12.5-13.3.1/mtouch-cache/arm64/Aspose.Words.dll.s’. Please file a bug report at https://github.com/xamarin/xamarin-macios/issues/new (MT5106) (testaspose)
Please help me going through this problem. Many thanks
Do you see the same problem when running your app on iOS and Android real devices? Please ZIP and upload your sample NuGet based Xamarin application along with sample document here for testing. We will then investigate the issue on our end and provide you more information. Please do not include Aspose.Words DLL files in it to reduce the file size. You can also upload the ZIP file to Dropbox and share the Download link here for testing.
Please find the sample in the link below. I also include the screenshot about the error.
My example is every simple. I just create a xamarin ios project, add Aspose.Words 20.3 and one line of code “Aspose.Words.License license = new Aspose.Words.License();”
I cannot build the project if I choose “Generic Device”. Please find detail in “error_screenshot.jpg”.
I also download your example at link : https://github.com/aspose-words/Aspose.Words-for-.NET and build but it fail too, and show the same error with my example.
My environment :
- mac os: 10.15.3
- xcode : 11.3.1
- Visual studio for mac : 8.4.8 (build 2)
- Xamarin ios : 22.214.171.124
