Aspose Word - Exception while comparing documents

Hi,
We are a licenced Aspose User and we are using Aspose Words to compare word documents using Document.Compare method. We have noticed that this method is broken in the latest version of aspose. The version that we are currently using for Aspose Word is 25.1.0. I am attaching the word files for your reference. The method throws the following exception: “Cannot insert a node of this type at this location”
This is a very critical issue for our application and would really appreciate if you can help us in this regard at your earliest. Thanks.

v2.docx (5.6 MB)

v1.docx (527.0 KB)

@omer.asalm

It seems you are encountering an exception while using the Document.Compare method in Aspose.Words, specifically the error message: “Cannot insert a node of this type at this location.” This issue has been reported by other users as well, and it has been logged for further investigation.

The problem you are facing may be related to the specific version of Aspose.Words you are using (25.1.0). A similar issue was reported with an earlier version (22.3.0), and it was subsequently addressed in a later update (22.12). It is recommended to upgrade to the latest version of Aspose.Words, as the issue you are experiencing may have been resolved in that update.

You can download the latest version from the official Aspose website or check for updates on NuGet. This might help you avoid the exception you are currently facing.

If upgrading does not resolve the issue, please consider providing the specific documents you are trying to compare, as this can help the support team diagnose the problem more effectively.
