Aspose.Words for Reporting Services - Local Reports

I’m new to Reporting Services, so forgive me if this question displays my ignorance…

I want to generate local reports, using an xml-based DataSet and not a SQL Server. I can use the ReportViewer control in my C# application and I can preview the report and export in excel and pdf.

Will Aspose.Words for Reporting Services give me the ability to export word docs/rtfs from a standaline application like this? If so, how do I integrate Aspose.Words for Reporting Services into my C# application?

Thanks for your request. It’s impossible to generate reports using Aspose.Words for reporting service without MS SQL reporting service.

Might you be able to provide a little background as to why that is? What is the limitation / restriction that is keeping that from happening?
