Aspose.words: Generated Mail Merge Document is not preserving form Fields. All the form fields are editable!

Hi Team,

I am using aspose.words to execute a mail merge template and saving generated document in word (.doc ) format. The generated document is not preserving the form fields. I can see all the form fields are editable, instead it should make only those form fields editable which are editable in template. I cant see any option to make this form fields preserved with DocSaveOptions like PdfSaveOption has. Please suggest me what should I do.

Thanks for your inquiry. It seems that you are using content controls instead of form fields. If this is the case, please note that the content controls (StructuredDocumentTags) are not supported in Doc file format.

  • Please attach the output Word file that shows the undesired behavior.
  • Please create a standalone console application (source code without compilation errors) that helps us to reproduce your problem on our end and attach it here for testing.
