Attachment name missing characters when dragging an dropping from Outlook

Hello,


I’m using Aspose.Email 3.4 for .NET. When dragging an attachment directly from Outlook 2010 on an x64 machine the first 4 characters of the attachment name are cut off. This issue was resolved previously but seems to have re-appeared?

Thank you for sharing your concern with us. However, I could not get success in reproducing this issue at my end. Perhaps, the messages I’m trying may not exhibit this issue that you have mentioned in this post. Could you please send us a few such sample messages at my email address for our investigation (You can directly send me an email by pressing the Contact button above and selecting Send Kashif an email)? Your Email will arrive in my Outlook 2010 inbox and I can test these directly from inbox to reproduce this issue at my end.

I have sent that now. Note that it is the attachment that is dragged in from Outlook and not the email. Here is a code sample:

public void HandleDragDrop(Aspose.Windows.Forms.FileDragEventArgs dragdropArgs)
{
for (int stepIndex = 0; stepIndex < dragdropArgs.Files.Count; stepIndex++)
{
string documentName = Path.GetFileName(dragdropArgs.Files[stepIndex].FileName);

}

I was able to reproduce this issue at my end using Aspose.Email for .NET 3.5.0 and have logged it in our bug tracking system under issue id: NETWORKNET-34143. Development team will look into it and once we have any information regarding the resolution of this issue, we’ll update you here via this thread.
