[AWT-WINDOWS] thread bug causing memory leaks

Hi guys,

While performing a conversion to an image from a chart, to be more specific with the following code:

cht.toImage(stream, imageOptions);
FileOutputStream st = new FileOutputStream(“path” + “.emf”);
cht.toImage(st, imageOptions);
st.flush();
st.close();

if that code runs the thread [AWT-WINDOWS] cannot be shut down when tomcat is shut down, causing tomcat to write a warning in the logs about a possible memory leak.

My environment is aspose cells jar version 7.4.2, using tomcat 7.0.29.

Do you have any infoabout this error/warning? Were you aware of it?

Thanks.

Hi,

We are not sure about the issue you mentioned if the issue (memory leak issue) relates to our product (Aspose. Cells for JAVA). Well, it might be something to do with your OS and native calls to your underlying OS.

Anyways, could you try our latest version/fix (attached) if it makes any difference.

Also, kindly provide more details about the issue/error. What is your OS, JDK version etc. Moreover, give us your sample JAVA program with Aspose.Cells APIs, paste or attach it here with your template files (if you have any) to reproduce the issue on our end. We will check your issue soon.

Thank you.
