Bold being converted to style- not able to de-bold

When I convert a document with Bold to HTML, rather than using a simple set of tags, I see this:

The problem is, editing this in a rich text box does not allow the bold to be removed (at least the ones I am trying to use). Is there a way to ensure a bold will just become bold ?

Sorry, this is the only way to output Bold at the moment. Nevertheless, we will probably consider your request later. I have logged it as #1067.
