I’m getting border rendering issues with the 4.0 .NET version of Aspose.PDF, I wasn’t seeing these issues with the 3.6.2 version.
Basically I have a table with rows in it and a header. Around the header cells I want a border, then between each row I want another border (lighter color), then around the entire table I want a blue border. I’m seeing 2 issues
1) I can’t get the borders on the first and second rows of the table to be displayed
2) The border around the 3rd (bottom) row does appear, but it displays on top of the table border. I could work around this issue by not rendering a border on the last row, but it seems like the table border should render on top of the row border.
I’ve attached the a code snippet and the pdf with the issue.
Hello Bill,
Thanks for considering Aspose.
I have tested the issue and I’m able to reproduce the same problem. I have logged it in our issue tracking system as PDFNET-9510. We will investigate this issue in detail and will keep you updated on the status of a correction. We apologize for your inconvenience.
I’m also seeing another similar border rendering issue.
With this issue, the table border isn’t rendered always when a table is broken across multiple pages. You can see the table border is showing on the second part of the table, on the second page, but the border is missing on the first page.
I’ve attached a code snippet and pdf showing the issue.
Hello Bill,
Thanks for sharing the information.
We would definitely look into this matter while we are resolving the earlier reported issue. As soon as we have made progress we would be pleased to update you with the status of correction.
Your patience is greatly appreciated in this regard and we apologize for any inconvenience that you have been facing in this regard.
Has there been any correction released for the problem where a broken row does not have a bottom table border on the first page?
Hi,
We will publish a new release in about one week. The fix of your problems will be included in it. Thanks for your patience.
Best regards.
The first issue noted in this post does seem to be fixed by the latest release, but not the second issue. I’m still seeing the second issue where the bottom border isn’t rendering on a table broken across multiple pages.
The code snippet in my earlier post will still cause the issue.
Hello Bill,
I’ve tested the latest version and I’m able to notice the second issue that you reported. We are really sorry that we couldn’t resolve it in this version.
Nevertheless, the issue has been communicated to the development team and they are looking into this matter.
Soon you will be updated with the status of the correction. We apologize for your inconvenience.
Do you have any update on when a fix for this issue will be available?
Hello Bill,
The issue seems to be resolved in latest hotfix for Aspose.Pdf for .NET 4.1.1. Please try using it and in case you still face any problem, please let us know.
The resultant PDF that I've generated is in attachment.
The issues you have found earlier (filed as 9510) have been fixed in this update.
