Hi in the latest build changelog you say:
The HTML parser inside Aspose.Words now conforms to the HTML 5 Specification
can you explain what this means? do you now save to html5?
I done a test and i can not see any difference in the html so it would be good if you could explain what is new.
Thanks
Brian
Hi Brain,
Thanks for your inquiry. At the moment Aspose.Words does not support HTML 5 as a whole, however, there are plans to support this version of HTML sometime in the future. Your request has been linked to the appropriate new feature (WORDSNET-3498) and you will be notified as soon as exporting Word document to HTML5 is supported. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Best regards,
I am confused, why was it mentioned in the release notes?
See attached screen grab. I am just trying to understand what has changed.
Thanks
Brian
Hi Brian,
Thanks for your inquiry. I’m in communication with the concerned developer and update you as soon as I have any information about HTML 5 features i.e. supported in Aspose.Words’ API. I apologize for any inconvenience.
Best regards,
Hi Brian,
Thank you for being patient. The HTML parser inside Aspose.Words now conforms to the HTML 5 Specification. You can find these specifications below:
It means, the HTML import doesn’t support HTML 5 fully, but, it reads malformed HTML documents as it is described in the HTML5 specification.
Best regards,
The issues you have found earlier (filed as WORDSNET-3498) have been fixed in this Aspose.Words for .NET 16.11.0 update and this Aspose.Words for Java 16.11.0 update.
