Chart.ToImage() - can it show transparency?

We use Cells to create charts for PowerPoint presentations and use the ToImage() method to display a picture of the chart until it is activated. Problem is that although the chat area is set to transparent the generated image has a white chart area which doesn't look great if the slide has a color background. Any chance that the image can honor a transparent chart area?

Thanks.

Shaun

Hi Shuan,

Could you post your template xls file here, we will check your issue soon.

Thank you.

See attachment. Chart image has white chart area. When activated it becomes transparent.

Thanks for your quick response.

Hi Shaun,

Could you try the attached version.

Thank you.

Hi Amjad,

Thank you for your quick response! Unfortunately I still get the same result as before, the chart area remains white.

Thanks again.

Shaun

Addendum to my above comment - it does work for PNG image format. I usually use the EMF as that scales nicely for various chart sizes. Do you know if EMF supports transparency?

Thank you.

Hi,

We have supported it. We will provide you a fix soon.

Thank you.
