I’ve been using the compare function however the quality of the comparison is very poor. Often there is just a short run of change, however the function will take the whole section and delete it and then re-add it. This makes it confusing when most of the words in the section are the same. This happens often when there is a new section inserted between two sections, the function thinks its a deletion/insertion for the second section - however it has only been moved.
We are also seeing issues where numbering is incorrect, and the compare function is moving numbering to an incorrect area of the document. We compared this with some other document comparison technology which provided much better results.
Is the approach from Aspose to develop the compare function, and if so, would it be possible to provide documents and an issues list for these to be resolved - or are aspose not looking to compete with more established document comparison tools?
