Hi Aspose team,
Is it possible using Aspose.Total to convert xlsx files to .ods with the ODF 1.3 standard. And if not is there any plans for implementing this in a future update ?
Thanks
Anders

Aspose.Cells does support to convert XLSX to ODS file format, see the document on supported file formats (load/save) for your reference.
Please give it a try to the conversion (XLSX to ODS) using the APIs. In case, it does not adhere to ODF 1.3 version/standard, let us know with input XLSX, output ODS by Aspose.Cells and expected ODS file.
@andersalvsaker
We will enhance the feature of converting Excel spreadsheet to ods with odf 1.3 standard.
We have logged an issue CELLSNET-55143.
@andersalvsaker
We will add OdsSaveOptions.Version property to support odf 1.3 standard in the next version 24.3.
This is very good news ! Can you also have a look at the mime-type, don’t believe this is properly written to the .ods today. thanks
@andersalvsaker
We do not export mimetype to ods file now as it doesn’t look very useful.
If you need it, we can add mimetype file to ods.
Please check the attached odf 1.3 file:
CELLSNET55143.zip (4.4 KB)
Yes please add the mime-type to the ods output. This will be very useful to us.
Checked the 1.3 .ods and it looks good. thank you
Thanks for your feedback on the converted ODS (ODF 1.3 standard) file.
Alright, we will check if we could add mime-type in upcoming release (v24.3).
@andersalvsaker
Please check the attached ods file
mimetype.zip (4.5 KB) which contains mimetype file.
Does it fit your need?
Thanks. We’ll check and get back to you
Sure, please take your time to evaluate the ODS file we provided. Hopefully, it will suit your needs.
We will look forward to receiving your feedback/confirmation.
Hi Amjad,
We have verified the ods file you sent us and i cant see that it has the correct version number 1.3 or mime-type. We’re using this online verification tool along with manual inspesction.
Please drop the mime-type.ods in this service here: : https://odfvalidator.org/
Thanks in advance
@andersalvsaker
Thanks for further details. Let us investigate and analyze your issue in details. Hopefully we could figure it out soon. Once we have an update on it, we will let you know.
@andersalvsaker
Thanks for your info.
Please check the attached file
20240221.zip (5.1 KB)
It passed odf validator.
Thank you very much ! this looks much better now
Can I ask you to do a new test conversion to .ods in 1.3 with this xlsx ?
ODS test cases - Copy for test.zip (52.3 KB)
A bit more complex file to verify the output ods result.
Thanks in advance
@andersalvsaker
2024022102.zip (38.1 KB)
Please check the above ods file generated by latest hot fix.
I see that the embedded image is not part of the .ods result. Is this something you can handle ?
Thanks in advance
SInce we’re in a good flow here Could you also try to export this xlsx to ods. It contains a macro and the result would be very interesting to investigate.
19-3323 Makro til Fejlliste 545560_2_0.zip (29.3 KB)
Thanks in advance !
Thanks for sharing the XLSM file.
We will evaluate using your file and get back to you soon.
@andersalvsaker
20240222.zip (45.6 KB)
Please check the attached files. The two files are verified.
